About Project Oasis

ProjectOasis.Art is an easy-to-use library of unique and thoughtfully designed art therapy activities. Created as a universal resource to better provide access to art therapy, our mission is to support individuals in developing self-awareness, exploring emotions, and addressing unresolved trauma through the creative process of active art-making.

Meet Our Team

Xinyue Gu
University of Toronto

Xinyue is a designer with experience in mental health exercises. She believes that creating art helps to reveal one’s psychological state and monitor one’s mental health condition. She works on communications strategy and graphic design at ProjectOasis.Art.

Di Wang
Parsons School of Design

Di is an artist whose practice explores questions about the subconscious, emotion, and psychological disease. She has extensive experience in K-5 education and has conducted many art projects in elementary schools. She oversees the artistic direction of activities at ProjectOasis.Art.

Siqi Wang
University of Toronto

Trained as an architect, Siqi is a strategic and spatial experience designer who firmly believes that arts and creativity can make powerful contributions to our mental health. He is the instigator of ProjectOasis.Art, where he directs day-to-day operations.

Joanna Wong
Architectural Association

Joanna manages the editorial content at ProjectOasis.Art. She is a writer with research interests in the history of art and architecture. She applies her expertise to communicate therapy ideas in a way that is fun and stimulating for the audiences.

Chen Wu
New York University

Chen is a mental health counselor whose interest is cross-cultural trauma. She has experience in working with Syrian teenagers in refugee camps. Chen provides advice for the development of art therapeutic activities at ProjectOasis.Art.

Yi Zhang
University of Toronto

Yi is a strategic and architectural designer who has worked with international mental health first aid organization to design physical interventions for refugees and people in crises. He manages operational activities at ProjectOasis.Art.
